The 2711P-B6C20D8 is a PanelView Plus 6 Terminal with an interactive, easy-to-use design that displays status information graphically. It provides users with a flexible configuration using separate display, logic, and communication modules. The 2711P-B6C20D8 comes preloaded with the FactoryTalk View Machine Edition software, and it runs by default on startup and can be configured for open access. The 2711P-B6C20D8’s HMI applications can be developed using the FactoryTalk ViewPoint and the View Studio software.

The 2711P-B6C20D8 terminal’s 5.7-inch active-matrix display screen supports both an analog touchscreen and a stainless-steel keypad for inputs. The resolution is 320 x 240 with 18-bit color graphics. It has 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB of nonvolatile memory for user storage. It has dimensions of 14 x 11 x 8 inches and weighs 6 lbs. The 2711P-B6C20D8 runs on an input voltage of 18 - 32V DC (24V DC nominal) with 70 W of maximum power consumption. It uses Ethernet and RS-232 serial ports for general communication and optional DH-485, DH+ and ControlNet modules for additional communication. The 2711P-B6C20D8 also contains 2 USB ports for connecting various external devices such as keyboards and flash drives.

The 2711P-B6C20D8 runs the Windows CE 6.0 operating system with features such as ActiveX controls, a pdf viewer, and third-party device support. It also supports SD cards for data backup and a battery-backed real-time clock for timestamping data. The 2711P-B6C20D8 is superior to previous PanelView terminals in terms of its speed, system memory, transition rate, storage space and backlight illumination. The most common Series are Series A and Series B and the most common firmware include 7.00-8.10.
